2015 ISOE Asian ALARA Symposium was held on September 9-10, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan with attendance of 36 people from Japan, Republic of Korea, Finland, Sweden, USA, IAEA and OECD/NEA.
As a Special Lecture, Hiroko Tezuka of NSRA/ATC provided an overview of the Asian Technical Center activities, and Kazuo Shimomura of OECD/NEA provided a status of recent OECD/NEA Activities in Nuclear Safety Regulation and Nuclear Emergency Matters. After these lectures, a total of 18 papers were presented.
Among these papers, “Improvement of the Labor Environment at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station” presented by Mr. Yasuhito Nishida and “Development of IDIS (Integrated Drain Information System) for Reducing Radiation Exposure” presented by Mr. Dong-un Kim were selected as a Distinguished Paper and announced at the conclusion of the ISOE Symposium.

A technical tour to Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited (JNFL) was held on September 11, 2015.
The attendees visited PR center of JNFL and learned the various activities on radiation protection through the lectures of JNFL staffs. They entered into the radiation controlled area of the facility and had a chance to visit the central control room and spent fuel receiving and storage facility.
